Travel Telemetry RN in High Point, NC

A travel nursing opportunity is available in High Point, NC, offering a challenging and rewarding role specializing in telemetry care. This position involves providing skilled nursing to a diverse inpatient population with a focus on neurological and stroke patients, requiring expertise in telemetry monitoring and acute patient management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients, maintaining a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Monitor remote telemetry systems and perform on-unit patient monitoring.
• Manage feeding tubes, central and peripheral lines, PICC lines; administer blood products safely.
• Perform wound care, including wound vac management.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and provide respiratory support via nasal cannula.
• Float across multiple healthcare facilities within the system as required.
• Maintain compliance with mandatory certifications, including BLS, NIH, and successful completion of the Pass/Fail EKG exam.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Registered Nurse licensed to practice.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience with telemetry and acute care exposure.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records.
• Skilled in IV insertion, line management, and critical care procedures.
• Knowledge of stroke patient care and related specialized nursing.
• Ability to adapt to flexible schedules, including 3x12 hour night shifts (7 PM - 7:30 AM) and holiday coverage.
• First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply.
