Transportation Analyst
Mid America Logistics is growing—and we’re looking for a data-driven Transportation Analyst to join our remote team. This role will help optimize freight operations by analyzing transportation data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing insights that drive smarter logistics decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze shipping and freight data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.Build dashboards and visual reports (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to communicate findings.Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as:On-time delivery rateCost-per-mileDeadhead percentageLoad acceptance/rejection rateCollaborate with dispatchers, brokers, and operations to implement efficiency solutions.Support budgeting, forecasting, and rate analysis using historical transportation data.Integrate with TMS platforms to pull accurate and timely reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Logistics, Business, or similar field.2+ years of experience in transportation/logistics analytics (preferred).Proven ability to interpret data and tell a story through numbers.Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.Comfortable working remotely and independently.
