Responsibilities
Ā Receive pre-recorded audio notes from physicians.

Ā Review audio recordings for content accuracy.

Ā Transcribe recordings into type-written format using word processing equipment.

Ā Transcribe various medical reports including patient histories and physical examinations.

Ā Review transcribed documents for accuracy and submit them to medical records.

Ā Translate medical jargon and abbreviations into expanded forms for clarity.

Ā Transcribe a minimum of 100 documents per week.

Ā Complete work regularly and on time.
,
Ā Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Ā Must be able to operate word processing and transcription equipment.

Ā Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is required.

Ā Understanding of medico-legal implications related to patient record transcription.

Ā Ability to type quickly and accurately.
,
Ā Excellent knowledge of English language rules.
,
Ā Ability to translate oral information into well-organized, accurately typed statements.

Ā Excellent proofreading skills.
,
Ā Strong listening skills, including the ability to understand dialects and various accents.

Ā Ability to maintain a schedule and work well under minimal supervision.
