Transaction Counsel (Hybrid)

ForFutures Financial, Planning, part of Ameriprise Financial Services LLC, is seeking a Transaction Counsel to manage and underwrite complex commercial real estate transactions. The role involves coordinating title clearance, resolving title issues, and preparing necessary documentation for closing.ResponsibilitiesTitle clearance and satisfaction of commitment Schedule B-I requirementsResolution of title comments/objection lettersReviewing title/survey comments and underwriting requestsNegotiation of endorsement/affirmative coverages with NCS Florida underwriters and local field officesPrepare pro forma policies and endorsements, title affidavits, escrow agreementsPrepare quotes for pricing policy and endorsement premiumAssist with closing by assembling/reviewing closing documents and reviewing closing instruction lettersSkillsMinimum 1 – 3 years experience in title insurance and/or commercial real estate with a focus on closing transactions and resolving underwriting issuesLaw Degree requiredLicensed to practice law, in good standingProven knowledge and competency in the areas of title fulfillment, escrow/settlement procedures and title insurance principles and procedures as they relate to underwriting and closing national commercial real estate transactionsStrong understanding of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of real estate law/practices, title insurance and settlement processGeneral understanding of underwriting real estate transactions for the issuance of title insurance policiesGeneral knowledge of Federal and State regulations related to real estate title insurance and settlement servicesAbility to successfully manage high-liability single and multi-site commercial real estate transactionsProficiency in Excel with the willingness to embrace technology applications to achieve excellence in customer satisfactionStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and timely follow upAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to successfully meet imposed deadlinesMust possess detail orientation with proven ability to produce quality, error-free workConfidence and capability to work well under pressure and deadlinesSuperior customer service skills requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills requiredMust be professional and a team playerBenefitsMedicalDentalVision401kPTO/paid sick leaveEmployee stock purchase planCompany OverviewForFutures Financial Planning,A financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC, is a true Financial Planning establishment focused on the education of its clients striving to create and preserve their wealth.
