Job Type Term AppointmentPosition SummaryThe selected intern will work directly with the Title IX Coordinator, who is a licensed attorney. Through the tasks listed below, they will learn about Title IX's regulatory requirements, with focus on the internal complaint process for Title IX at a state university, the steps in implementing Title IX support services, and Title IX record-keeping.This is an in-person position. Remote work will not be considered.Duties and Responsibilities
Assisting in closing out files by writing case summaries and completing party correspondence.
Observing at intakes when agreeable to the complainant.
Observing and participating in policy development.
Completing at least one legal research project that will generate a writing sample.
Contributing to, and participating in, educational outreach efforts.
Protecting the confidentially of case information at all time.
The selected intern will be offered the chance to complete a Title IX certificate free of charge if they choose.
Other tasks consistent with Title IX may be assigned as needed.
Minimum Job Requirements
Completion of at least one year of law school in good standing as of May 2025. 1Ls and 2Ls will be considered.
Currently enrolled in an accredited JD program.
Preferred Qualifications
B or higher in legal writing or comparable writing-focused coursework.
Interest in regulatory law or administrative procedure.

Writing (both legal writing and writing about legal topics for non-legal audiences)
Proofreading
Professional demeanor in stressful or emotionally-charged environments
Understanding of how and why to protect confidential information

Indoor climate-controlled working environment on a University campus.
Applicant may be subject to emotional stress in the working environment due to exposure to sensitive topics such as stalking and sexual violence.
Pay Rate $4,000 stipend for 8 weeks + on-campus housing in residential dorm
