Description

Seeking a detail-oriented Test Engineer to design, execute, and evolve test strategies that ensure feature readiness, system performance, and overall product quality. This role emphasizes both manual and automated testing, close collaboration with developers, and clear communication of defects and test results throughout the software development lifecycle.

Target salary is $115-120k. (Please note this position is funded through March 2026 and most likely will push through June 2026).

Key Responsibilities
• Design and write test cases based on requirements and release notes
• Execute complex functional and performance testing of new features
• Validate system behavior against design specifications and expected outcomes
• Document detailed test results and clearly report defects using GitLab
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and manual test cases
• Continuously refine testing methodologies for accuracy and reliability
• Update test documentation as requirements and procedures evolve
• Partner closely with developers to ensure timely defect resolution during testing cycles

Qualifications

Requirements
• and Active Secret security clearance
• Experience working in structured testing or QA roles
• Ability to work collaboratively in Agile or iterative development environments
• Performance and load testing specialization
• Experience testing cloud-based applications
• Familiarity with end-to-end testing strategies and test metrics
• Prior involvement in continuous testing or shift-left testing models
• Bachelor's and five (5) or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree

Core Technical Skills
• Testing Tools: Automated testing frameworks (Playwright preferred)
• Scripting: JavaScript or similar scripting languages
• Test Management: Kiwi TCMS
• CI/CD & Tracking: GitLab CI/CD pipelines and issue tracking
• Performance Testing: Load and stress testing tools (K6, JMeter)
• Cloud Exposure: Familiarity with AWS environments

Quality & Communication
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Clear, concise technical writing (test cases, bug reports, documentation)
• Effective verbal and written communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred

• Experience testing cloud-based applications
• Familiarity with end-to-end testing strategies and test metrics
• Prior involvement in continuous testing or shift-left testing models

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
