Teledentist Responsibilities

Conduct virtual consultations to assess patient concerns
Diagnose oral health conditions & recommend treatment plans
Educate patients on oral hygiene & preventive care
Prescribe medications as needed (within state regulations)
Collaborate with general dentists & specialists for referrals
Maintain accurate, confidential patient records
Stay updated on telehealth regulations & best practices

Requirements

DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
Active dental licenses in any US state.
Experience in general dentistry with strong diagnostic skills
Comfortable using telehealth technology & EHR systems
Excellent communication & patient education skills
Ability to work independently and provide high-quality virtual care

Preferred Qualifications

Multi-state dental licensure
Experience in teledentistry or virtual healthcare
Ability to troubleshoot minor tech issues
Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms
