The Role: Technical Support Operator - Remote


Key Responsibilities:

Provide customer support via our 24/7 help desk, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
Troubleshoot email delivery issues, cPanel, Plesk, and DirectAdmin related issues, DNS, FTP, SSL, Apache, and other service-related issues
Ensure customer satisfaction by going above and beyond to resolve customer issues and exceed their expectations
Work collaboratively with our team to identify and resolve complex technical issues
Stay up-to-date with the latest web hosting technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve our services and support


Essential Qualifications:

Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
Excellent written English skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner
Familiarity with Linux shell (bash), Apache, PHP, MySQL, email (POP3/IMAP/SMTP), FTP, DNS, and other standard web hosting applications and protocols
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
Working knowledge of one of the following control panels: cPanel/WHM, Plesk, and DirectAdmin


Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of PHP, Python, Perl, and Ruby on Rails
Working knowledge of Iptables firewalls (CSF, APF, etc.)
Familiarity with common customer website apps, such as Drupal, WordPress, MediaWiki, Magento, ZenCart, etc.
MySQL commands for support or troubleshooting, such as importing/dumping a database, simple SELECT statements, or "SHOW PROCESSLIST"
