About the position

The Team Leader at Tractor Supply Company plays a crucial role in assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving operational, sales, and merchandising goals while ensuring a Legendary Customer Experience. This position emphasizes the importance of a safe and productive work environment and involves training team members on policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
? Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in operational, sales, and merchandising objectives.

? Promote a safe and productive work environment for all team members, customers, and vendors.
,
? Deliver Legendary Customer Service by following the GURA model: Greet, Uncover needs, Recommend solutions, and Appreciate the customer.
,
? Execute assigned merchandising activities, including basic, promotional, and seasonal tasks.
,
? Perform opening and closing procedures for the store.
,
? Transport and make deposits to the bank as required.
,
? Assess store conditions and assign duties to team members accordingly.
,
? Organize and prioritize workflow using a daily planner.
,
? Participate in the mandatory freight process and perform regular price change activities.
,
? Resolve customer complaints and ensure a positive shopping experience.
,
? Adhere to loss prevention standards and respond to alarm calls as needed.
,
? Communicate effectively with team members regarding job functions and financial goals.
,
? Operate cash register and supervise cash handling procedures.
,
? Ensure the safety and well-being of birds and maintain poultry holding tanks as required.
,
? Operate equipment such as forklifts and balers, and complete associated documentation.

Requirements
? Retail experience and/or knowledge in farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding is preferred.

? Supervisory experience is preferred.
,
? Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
,
? High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
,
? Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
