Principal Solutions Specialist (SME) – Data & Reporting (RIA)

Remote Full-time
We are seeking a Principal Solutions Specialist (SME) – Data & Reporting (RIA) to bring deep expertise in performance reporting, data management, and client reporting workflows within the RIA ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone who has built their career in RIA operations, performance reporting, or data management, with hands-on experience using platforms such as Addepar, Tamarac, Orion, or Black Diamond. As a subject matter expert, you will help bridge the gap between how RIAs manage data and reporting today and how modern platforms can simplify, scale, and elevate those capabilities. Working closely with our Field CTO, client-facing teams, product, and engineering, you will play a key role in shaping both client solutions and the evolution of Advisor360°’s data and reporting capabilities. Here’s What You’ll Do: Serve as a subject matter expert on RIA data and reporting workflows, including performance reporting, client reporting deliverables, and the operational processes that support them. Bring hands-on experience from platforms such as Addepar, Tamarac, Orion, and Black Diamond to inform how Advisor360° evolves its reporting and data capabilities. Partner with the Field CTO and client-facing teams to support strategic client engagements, solution design, and platform discussions related to reporting and data workflows. Help bridge the gap between RIA operational reporting processes and platform capabilities, translating real-world workflows into scalable solutions. Provide guidance on data aggregation, reconciliation, and data quality management, ensuring reporting accuracy across portfolios, households, and client accounts. Apply experience working with custodial data feeds and integrations (e.g., Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing) to ensure data integrity across sources. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate reporting requirements into product insights that shape platform innovation. Provide expertise in building and maintaining reporting templates, dashboards, and custom client reports, enabling firms to deliver high-quality reporting experiences. Define and promote best practices for performance reporting, household-level reporting, and client reporting workflows. Participate in client workshops, discovery sessions, and solution design discussions focused on data architecture and reporting needs. What You Bring to the Table: 7–12+ years of experience in the RIA, wealth management, or investment operations ecosystem, focused on reporting, performance reporting, or data management. Hands-on experience with RIA reporting platforms such as Addepar, Tamarac, Orion, or Black Diamond. Strong understanding of performance reporting methodologies, including time-weighted returns (TWR), money-weighted returns (IRR), and household-level reporting. Experience with data reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy across custodians, portfolio accounting systems, and reporting platforms. Familiarity with custodial integrations and data feeds from providers such as Schwab, Fidelity, and Pershing. Experience with data aggregation, normalization, and transformation processes supporting reporting accuracy. Proven ability to build custom reports, dashboards, and client-facing reporting outputs. Strong understanding of how RIAs use reporting to support client communication, transparency, and portfolio insights. Ability to translate operational workflows into product requirements and platform capabilities. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and RIA operational stakeholders.
