As a Manager in our Tax service line, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Proficient in the taxation of partnerships, limited liability companies and other similar flow-through entitiesKnowledgeable in the area of private equity or real estateLicensed CPA or JDBig 4 or equivalent law firm experience preferredResearch complex tax issuesEnsures quality of work productMonitors work-flowCoaches/mentors individual team membersDevelops business with both existing and new clientsDevelops and maintains strong client relationships with client personnel and prospective clientsWorks closely with clients to advise on income tax issues and related tax planningAttend applicable trainings and/or conferences either in-town or out-of-townOther projects assigned by a supervisory figureManagement responsibilities also include firm administrative functions and initiatives such as client billings To be successful, these are the skills, qualities and experience you will need: Undergraduate degree; Master’s degree a plusCPA certificateA minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceAbility to identify and propose resolutions to complex income tax issuesDemonstrated advanced project management skillsAbility to utilize firm technology to enhance client serviceExcellent research skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to articulate complex tax matters in “business” languageAbility to integrate and team with othersThorough understanding of both accounting and income tax compliance issues associated with private equityAbility to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced and complex environmentStrong team player with emphasis on the continued growth and development of team membersExcellent analytical skills and judgment You Matter - HCVT provides a variety of benefits and perks that help sustain a healthy and thriving work environment.
