You will have opportunities to work in different industries with direct access to partners and other subject-matter experts. The Phoenix office is fast-growing and offers significant opportunities for upward trajectory. As a Manager in our Tax service line, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Provide high-level review of federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts and its related income tax work papersBuild technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities, and applies them to client situations Work closely with clients to advise on income tax issues and tax planningDevelop and maintain strong client relationship Responsible for meeting engagement timelines and budget guidelinesOversee planning and scheduling of client engagementsProvide job status updates to upper management and/or partners and client personnel in a timely mannerSupervise engagement teams and ensure a high quality work product is delivered to the clientResearch technical and complex tax issuesManage, coach, and provide ongoing feedback to Seniors and StaffTrain and teach junior team members to develop their technical skillsParticipate in recruiting events, facilitate training, or get involved in firm initiatives as needed To be successful, these are the skills and experience you will need: 5-8 years of experience depending on relevant work experienceExperience with partnerships and/or high net worth individuals preferredBachelor’s degree; Master’s Degree in Taxation a plusA licensed CPA or Enrolled AgentStrong technical aptitude and communication skills, both verbal and writtenHigh emotional intelligence with the ability to influence and resolve operational issuesHas proven project management skillsCan learn, teach, and supervise in a fast paced environment and is receptive to feedback and coachingAbility to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative on projectsHas a high level of attention to detail Has a positive attitude and is a team player mentality with a can-do spiritProficiency in Thomson Reuters, GoSystem, ProSystems or equivalent is required You Matter - HCVT provides a variety of benefits and perks that help sustain a healthy and thriving work environment.
