About the position The Tax Manager position at CyberCoders is a remote role within a top 100 public accounting firm, focusing on providing tax services to high net worth clients across various industries. The role involves managing complex tax returns and planning for various entity types, ensuring compliance and delivering high-quality service to clients. Responsibilities • Review and manage tax returns, extensions, and tax planning calculations for all entity types with a focus on Individual/Family. • Review financial statements and perform accounting and adjusting entries, bank reconciliations, and client books and records. • Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individual and corporate estimated tax liability. • Manage and monitor client deliverables and due dates. • Prepare or review complex U.S. and state individual tax returns, including gift tax and estate tax returns. • Conduct complex tax research and prepare memorandums outlining findings and conclusions. • Respond to IRS and state agency audits, inquiries, and tax notices. • Communicate directly with existing clients, colleagues, management, and IRS representatives regarding various tax matters. • Lead department in knowledge of software, processes, and workflows. Requirements • 4-10+ years minimum of relevant experience in public accounting. • Experience in individual tax compliance and planning, with familiarity in CS Suite and UltraTax being a plus. • Tax research experience, preferably with RIA. • Experience with gift, estate, and trust returns is a plus. • Experience in partnership tax is a plus. • Outgoing and friendly personality, with a team player attitude. • Desire and ability to train, mentor, and develop staff. Nice-to-haves • Experience in partnership tax would be a plus. • Gift, estate, and trust return experience would be a plus.
