[Remote] Technical Project Manager

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to support the USDA FPAC Data Engineering & Data Management program, leading the delivery of enterprise data initiatives and serving as the primary liaison between Government stakeholders and technical delivery teams.ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end execution of data engineering, analytics, business intelligence, and data warehouse initiativesDefine project scope, establish schedules, monitor milestones, and drive successful delivery outcomesManage Development, Modernization & Enhancement (DME) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) workstreamsCoordinate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and status reportingAct as the primary interface between Government COR/CO stakeholders and contractor technical teamsMonitor project budgets, staffing plans, dependencies, and resource allocationIdentify risks, resolve blockers, and maintain delivery stability across mission-critical environmentsPrepare weekly status reports, executive summaries, issue logs, and performance dashboardsEnsure alignment with federal data governance, compliance, and security requirementsSkillsBachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline8+ years of Technical Project Management experience supporting enterprise technology programsU.S. Citizenship requiredDemonstrated success delivering data warehousing, analytics, business intelligence, or data platform projectsExperience leading cross-functional technical teams including Data Engineers, BI Developers, and ArchitectsStrong knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologiesExperience with JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent PM platformsFamiliarity with Federal compliance and governance frameworks including: FISMA, FedRAMP, NISTStrong executive communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience managing schedules, budgets, and reporting metricsExperience supporting USDA or other Federal Civilian agenciesPMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or SAFe certificationsExposure to cloud data ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP)Knowledge of ETL, data lake, data governance, and modern BI platformsBenefitsComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans (Healthcare benefits are 100% employer-paid for employees only)Life InsurancePaid Time Off (Flexible/Combined PTO, Bereavement Leave, 11 Company Paid Holidays)401K Retirement Plan with employer matchProfessional Development Training ReimbursementCompany OverviewInnovating the Public Sector with Cutting-Edge Technologies At VivSoft, we tackle complex public sector challenges with innovative solutions.
