Tax Associate / Tax Senior - Individual & Business Returns (Hybrid - Milwaukee, WI)
A long-established, mid-sized public accounting firm in Milwaukee is seeking a Tax Associate or Tax Senior to join their tax team. This role is ideal for someone looking to deepen their expertise in individual and business taxation, gain strong client interaction, and grow within a stable firm with a clear vision for future leadership.

The Opportunity
The firm is adding to its tax team due to staff transitions and ongoing growth. This position will work heavily on individual and business tax returns, supporting a diverse mix of clients including high-net-worth individuals, multi-entity business owners, and small to mid-sized businesses across various industries.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and/or review:
• Individual (1040) tax returns
• Business returns (1120, 1120S, 1065)
• Assist with tax planning and advisory support as needed
• Work directly with clients to gather information and provide updates
• Collaborate with partners and senior team members on more complex filings
• Maintain high-quality work and adhere to filing deadlines
• Participate in professional development as part of the firm's leadership-focused culture
Ideal Background
• 1-3+ years of experience in public accounting (Tax Associate or Tax Senior level)
• Strong foundation in individual and business tax preparation
• Familiarity with common small business industries such as real estate, rental, manufacturing, and professional services
• Experience with CCH Axcess preferred but not required
• CPA licensed or actively pursuing the CPA credential
• Enjoys client interaction and building long-term relationships
• Interested in mentorship, growth, and potentially future leadership opportunities
Compensation & Benefits
• Base salary range: $80k-$110K, depending on experience
• 8% profit sharing
• Parking reimbursement available
• Hybrid schedule with flexibility (3-4 days in-office typically)
