EMS Talent Acquisition Specialist

As an AmeriPro EMS Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our organization by identifying, attracting, and hiring top-tier talent to join the AmeriPro Health team. In collaboration with our Operations and Human Resources teams, this role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, ever-evolving, and innovative healthcare organization dedicated to excellence in EMS services.

In this position, you will be responsible for sourcing, interviewing, selecting, and hiring highly skilled professionals who not only meet the qualifications for their roles but also embody our Core Values and are committed to growing with our organization.

This role requires someone who naturally upholds and represents the values and culture of AmeriPro Health in every aspect of their work.

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven team player who is tech-savvy, eager to learn, and possesses exceptional communication skills. What you will be doing:
• * Provide a Positive Candidate Experience: Manage and oversee a high-volume of candidates applying via our applicant tracking system. Review applications, conduct pre-screen phone interviews, and/or schedule and conduct in-person interviews. Promote a positive onboarding experience for new AmeriPro EMS team members.
• Sourcing: Utilizing comprehensive and multifaceted strategies involving cold outreach, database utilization, social media campaigns, and more to source and build foundational pipelines of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) professionals, e.g., paramedics, EMTs, 911 Dispatchers, and other EMS professionals.
• Collaboration: Directly reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition to collaborate and strategize best practices and creative approaches based on staffing needs and recruitment trends.
• Events and Marketing: Assist and participate with external recruiting events such as school presentations, career fairs, and community events, as well as internal team building / employee events (employee appreciation, holidays, social events)
• Learning: Remain current, up-to-date and continuously learn current (and future) recruitment trends, techniques, and sources while mastering the ins-and-outs of hiring at AmeriPro EMS.

Job Qualifications

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
• Relevant Healthcare experience (REQUIRED) / EMS preferred
• Proven experience in healthcare recruitment settings (e.g., EMS, hospitals, clinics, SNF, LTC facilities, etc).
• Experience with healthcare-specific roles (such as paramedics, EMTs, nurses, physicians, and other allied health professionals)
• Recruitment Skills
• Strong interviewing skills: Ability to assess candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit for healthcare roles.
• Effective communication skills: Clear communication with both candidates and hiring managers.
• Skillful Negotiation: Ability to negotiate job offers and compensation packages
• Strong candidate sourcing skills: Experience sourcing candidates from various channels such as niche specific job boards, social media, referrals, healthcare networking events, college recruitment, etc.
• Specialized Knowledge
• Understanding of healthcare industry regulations: Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, such as HIPAA, certification / licensure requirements, and continuing education for healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge and understanding of credentialing and licensing requirements:
• Professional work-ethic: adaptable, extremely organized, detail oriented, and focused on maintaining confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information
• Experience working in a geographically dispersed organization
• Experience in handling multiple priorities
• Technology Proficiency
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other communication tools such as email and video conferencing platforms.
• Interpersonal and Soft Skills
• Given the nature of healthcare, recruiters must have the ability to understand and connect with candidates’ motivations, especially when recruiting for critical, high-stress roles.
• Detail-oriented and organized: Ability to manage multiple candidates, applications, and schedules efficiently.
• Ability to work under pressure: EMS involves filling critical, time-sensitive roles, so one must work well in fast-paced environments.
• A proactive and autonomous work ethic that delivers results
• Excellent Customer Service, Communication, Time Management and Critical Thinking skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; (Associates or Bachelors Degree strongly preferred)
