Systems Administrator

Overview:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Alliance Laundry Systems’ hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises systems, cloud platforms, identity management, and enterprise applications. This role ensures secure, reliable, and scalable IT services that support business operations across manufacturing, corporate, and global teams. The Systems Administrator partners closely with Security, Networking, Applications, and external vendors to continuously improve performance, resilience, and compliance posture.

Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Cloud OperationsAdminister and support hybrid infrastructure environments (VMware/VxRail, Windows Server, AWS, Azure, and SaaS platforms)Manage virtual servers, storage, backups, and disaster recovery solutionsMonitor system health, performance, and capacity planning across compute, storage, and network servicesParticipate in vulnerability remediation and lifecycle management of systemsIdentity & Access ManagementSupport enterprise identity platforms (e.g., Okta, IAM Identity Center, Active Directory)Implement and maintain role-based access controls (RBAC) and least-privilege principlesSupport audit requests and access reviewsSecurity & ComplianceSupport logging, monitoring, and endpoint/server hardening initiativesParticipate in disaster recovery planning and testingMaintain documentation for change management, system configurations, and operational proceduresAutomation & Continuous ImprovementDevelop and maintain scripts and integrations to automate operational tasksIdentify opportunities to improve system reliability, reduce manual effort, and standardize processesContribute to documentation and knowledge base improvements Support & CollaborationTroubleshoot and resolve complex system issues across infrastructure and enterprise applicationsServe as escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 technical teamsCoordinate with vendors for support and system upgradesCommunicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications:
Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)4+ years of experience in systems administration within a mid-to-large enterprise environmentExperience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments (on-prem + cloud)Experience with enterprise applications Technical SkillsWindows Server administrationVirtualization platforms (VMware and Hyper-V preferred)Cloud platforms (AWS and Azure)Identity & access management concepts (SSO, MFA, RBAC)Backup and disaster recovery technologiesStrong understanding of change management and incident response processes Soft Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentCustomer-focused with a service mindsetSelf-driven with strong organizational skillsCollaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset Travel: Ability to travel up to 10%Physical Requirements:Position involves sitting long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending, and minimal liftingAlliance Team Members Demonstrate DRIVE: Dedicated: We follow through on our promises, delivering results and are committed to quality.
