System Administrator | Remote
Title: System Administrator Location: Fully Remote Duration: 6-12+ Months Summary: • We are looking for a LogicMonitor and Observability Administrator with strong technical expertise in monitoring and observability across hybrid and cloud environments. • This role involves administering LogicMonitor, implementing observability best practices, and working closely with infrastructure and application owners to ensure proper performance and availability monitoring. • The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency with the ability to gather requirements, make recommendations, and assist teams in optimizing their monitoring configurations. Role Objectives: Expertise • This role requires comprehensive expertise in LogicMonitor and observability practices. Key responsibilities include: • Administer and optimize LogicMonitor platform, including collectors, dashboards, alerting policies, and reporting. • Configure monitoring for servers, network devices, cloud resources, and applications using LogicMonitor data sources and custom integrations. • Work with discipline owners (infrastructure, application, network, security) to evaluate monitoring coverage and confirm performance and availability metrics are properly tracked. • Assist teams in making necessary configuration changes to improve monitoring accuracy and effectiveness. • Develop and maintain alert thresholds, escalation chains, and notification policies to ensure timely response to issues. • Automate monitoring tasks and alerting workflows using scripting languages (PowerShell, Groovy, Bash) and LogicMonitor APIs. • Experience configuring and managing 3rd party integrations and vendor monitoring modules (ServiceNow Service Graph Connector, VMware, Dell, etc.) • Create and maintain dashboards and reports tailored to business and technical stakeholders for visibility into system health and trends. • Analyze monitoring data, identify trends, and recommend improvements for reliability and performance. • Track all ongoing efforts in ServiceNow and provide regular status reports to the internal monitoring team.
