Supervising Physician (Psychiatry / Mental Health) – Independent Contractor (1099)
We are seeking a Washington-licensed physician with a mental health background to serve as a Supervising Physician for physicians conducting psychiatric assessment services for veterans.
This is a 1099 independent contractor role. The Supervising Physician will be responsible for the active management, oversight, compliance, and supervision of the physicians assigned to them. The supervised physicians will not provide ongoing clinical treatment; their work will be limited to psychiatric assessment services.
Responsibilities
• Provide active clinical supervision and management of assigned physicians
• Be available on an as-needed basis for consultation and guidance
• Conduct periodic check-ins, expected at least monthly, to confirm compliance and quality standards
• Maintain appropriate supervision records and documentation
• Ensure supervised physicians follow applicable clinical, documentation, privacy, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor compliance and address issues as needed
• Serve as the responsible supervising physician for assigned providers
• Collaborate professionally with the company and supervised physicians
Compensation
• $1000 per supervised physician per month
• Supervising physicians may oversee up to four physicians
Requirements
• MD or DO with active Washington license
• Physical practice address in Washington State required
• Background in psychiatry, behavioral health, or mental health
• Must maintain your own professional liability insurance
• Must operate through your own professional entity or practice
• Must be willing to work as a 1099 independent contractor
• Strong recordkeeping, compliance, and communication skills
• Dependable, responsive, collaborative, and team-oriented

We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable supporting other physicians in a structured assessment-based setting.
Pay: $1,000.00 - $4,000.00 per month
