Substitute Teacher(s) (on-call)

Summary

We are seeking dedicated and flexible individuals to serve as on-call Substitute Teachers. This part-time position offers the opportunity to step into various classroom environments, providing essential support to students and ensuring continuity in their learning experience. Ideal candidates will possess a passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.

Responsibilities
• Fill in for absent teachers by delivering lesson plans and managing classroom activities.
• Maintain a safe and productive learning environment for students.
• Engage students in learning and promote positive behavior.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed.
• Adapt to different classroom settings and grade levels as required.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and managing classroom resources.
• Follow school policies and procedures to ensure a consistent educational experience.
• Provide feedback to school administration regarding classroom experiences and student needs.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred.
• Valid teaching certification or substitute teaching permit (as required by state regulations).
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior and engage students effectively.
• Flexibility and adaptability to different teaching environments and subjects.
• Reliable transportation and availability to work on short notice.
• Commitment to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
