Student, Junior Business Manager

The Junior Business Manager role involves supporting the design, monitoring, and communication of FCC’s lending portfolios, collaborating with senior leaders to develop materials and processes for portfolio management. Responsibilities Support portfolio construction activities across the portfolio lifecycle, including analysis, documentation, and ongoing monitoring Develop presentations and executive-level speaking notes to support governance discussions and senior leadership forums Assist in building and documenting portfolio construction and lifecycle management processes, frameworks, and tools Prepare summaries, briefing materials, and visualizations that translate complex portfolio concepts into clear insights Support ad hoc portfolio analysis and initiatives related to risk, growth, and strategic alignment Collaborate with partners across finance, risk, and business lines to support portfolio-related initiatives Skills Enrolment in a degree program in business, finance, economics, commerce, analytics, or a related field Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; experience developing presentations is an asset Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor messages to different audiences Analytical mindset with an interest in strategy, finance, and portfolio management Collaborative team player who is comfortable working with senior stakeholders Detail-oriented self-starter who is eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment Interest in portfolio management, risk, strategy, or financial analysis Experience analyzing or synthesizing financial or operational data is an asset Benefits Competitive total rewards packages: market-aligned and performance-based salary and incentive programs Flexible and comprehensive group benefit and savings plans Well-being support through benefits and wellness programs Learning and development opportunities to help you thrive Hybrid work options Company Overview FCC is a federal Crown corporation that is 100% invested in Canadian agriculture and food.
