About the Opportunity: Assignment Magazine Student Editor
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative student to fill the role of Assignment Magazine Student Editor. As a student editor, you will have the unique opportunity to edit and curate content for Assignment, the online literary magazine of the Low-Residency MFA in Fiction and Nonfiction. Your role will be to provide a forum for student writing and interviews with authors, showcasing the best of SNHU's literary talent. This is a fantastic chance to acquire skills useful in publishing and editorial jobs, including proofreading and layout design.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and edit content for the online literary magazine, including short essays, short stories, and blog posts
Manage social media channels for the literary magazine to increase engagement and reach a wider audience
Acquire skills in publishing and editorial jobs, including proofreading and layout design
Collaborate with the editorial team to develop and implement a content strategy that showcases student writing and interviews with authors
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in publishing and editing


Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must be a current student enrolled in classes as part of a SNHU degree program. Additionally, you must have work-study as part of your financial aid package. Students with work-study may be prioritized, but we encourage all eligible students to apply.

Preferred Qualifications:
