We are engineering the future of UA with our data-driven approach and community of over 40 million users engaging with games, apps, and surveys.Based in the heart of Berlin, our collaborative approach offers the opportunity for our clients to acquire 10,000 users daily, providing consistent value and improved ROAS in the short and long term.Weâre looking for a Staff Data Scientist to join our growing team in Berlin and help shape the next stage of our product and data capabilities.This is a high-impact role where youâll combine hands-on modelling with cross-functional leadership to improve how we understand users, optimise incentives, and build the foundations of scalable, data-informed decision making.What Youâll Work OnDesign and implementation of machine learning models which personalise recommendations for users, whilst optimising for performance, engagement and conversion within gaming user acquisitionBuild and optimise our incentives reward structures focusing on motivating and retaining users whilst improving in-app ROAS.Collaborate with data analytics and engineering to improve data structures, visibility, and traceabilityEstablish technical best practices for the team, including documentation, data product ownership, measurement plans, and experimentation frameworksDefine and help implement KPIs that align team output with business goals, ensuring every model, dashboard, and analysis has a clear purpose and outcomeMentor and support both data scientists and analytics engineers, driving high standards and helping the team scale effectivelyWhat Weâre Looking ForStrong experience building and deploying machine learning models in a product-driven environment, ideally in Gaming, AdTech, gambling or user-incentive systemsDeep statistical and modelling knowledge for complex experimentation design, uplift modelling and causal impact estimation of counterfactual outcomes.Strong understanding of data engineering workflows and modern data stack tools (e.g. DBT, Airflow, K8s)Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and TerraformExcellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive clarity, create structure, and bring stakeholders on boardWhy Almedia?
