Staff Assistant

The Staff Assistant will work efficiently and collaboratively to assist with all phases of Congressional and regulatory investigations, as well as the day-to-day operations of the investigations group.ResponsibilitiesAssists with document collection, production, organization and managementAssists with the maintenance and manipulation of document databases for purposes of facilitating productions, preparing for depositions, hearings and other proceedingsAssists with routine preparations for witness interviews, including the assembly of witness files and reference bindersAssists with production of daily press clips for a portfolio of clients and/or topicsAssists with planning and executing hearing preparation events, such as meetings and mock hearingsSupports senior staff with background research, tracking upcoming hearings, and other responsibilities as neededMonitors congressional hearings upon request and prepares summaries as neededAssists with updating indices, chronologies, logs and tracking systemsAssists with establishing logistical support and set up of remote offices to accommodate the needs of the case team for purposes of hearing preparationAssists with client service and associated client meeting tasks, including greeting and interacting with the clientAssists with administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, printing and organization of documents and informationAssists with preparation of presentations and graphics for client meetings and client development opportunitiesAttends and participates in training programs for professional development and building technology skillsAdheres to best practices for daily time entry for client billable work and eTime for attendance and time off requestsContributes to the Firm's Service Excellence initiative to consistently improve its image internally and externallyDisplays professionalism, quality service and a 'can do' attitude to internal members/departments of the Firm as well as external clients and vendors via electronic and print correspondence, over the telephone and in-personAssumes additional responsibilities as assignedSkillsAbility to work collaboratively, across offices, to meet strict deadlinesStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to work with clients directly in a professional mannerStrong organizational skills and attention to detailStrong technology skillsAbility to work overtime and travel1+ year of legislative affairs, lobbying, and law firm experience, preferredBA/BS requiredBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company match and profit-sharing optionsPaid time off and holidaysCompany OverviewWilmerHale provides legal representation across a comprehensive range of practice areas that are critical to the success of our clients It was founded in 2004, and is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, with a workforce of 1001-5000 employees.
