Staff Accountant (part-time)

About the position

Waxman Associates serves as the accounting department for a variety of clients and industries. The Staff Accountant position is part-time and encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including full-cycle accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entry posting, and financial statement preparation. Additionally, the role involves conducting financial and ad-hoc analysis, budgeting and pro forma development, treasury and cash flow management, and comprehensive financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both over the phone and via email, and will demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and customer service. A positive attitude, ability to multi-task, and effective prioritization skills are also essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities
• Perform full-cycle accounting including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Conduct bank reconciliations and journal entry posting.

• Prepare financial statements and reports.

• Engage in financial and ad-hoc analysis as required.

• Assist in budgeting and pro forma development.

• Manage treasury and cash flow activities.

Requirements
• 1 year of accounting experience (preferred).

• 1 year of experience with GAAP (preferred).

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (preferred).

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).

• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entry, and monthly closing processes.
