Staff Accountant

The role involves preparing tax returns, conducting research on tax issues, and performing audit procedures under supervision. Responsibilities Prepare individual, fiduciary, partnership, not-for-profit, and corporate income tax returns under the direction and constructive feedback of supervisors Prepare tax projections to assist clients in minimizing taxes and determining quarterly estimated tax payments Research tax and accounting issues and effectively communicate the analysis and conclusion Perform audit, review, and compilation procedures and prepare financial statements with a general understanding of the underlying standards Skills Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Accounting or Taxation Minimum 3.2 GPA Working towards or have already met the 150-semester unit requirement for CPA licensure, either under current or grandfathered standards, as applicable Exhibits flexibility in a fast-paced work environment A CPA license is a plus Benefits Hybrid-working model State of the art equipment Firm events Company Overview Navolio & Tallman LLP offers both the technical expertise of a “Big Four” accounting firm and the personalized client service only a smaller firm provides.
