About the position

The Sr Systems Engineer I - Site Reliability Engineer at CSX Corporation is responsible for planning, installing, configuring, and testing monitoring, observability, and automation solutions for the enterprise. This role ensures that tools, processes, and technical solutions are optimized for maximum functionality while maintaining operational documentation and standards. The engineer will lead the development of automation and monitoring solutions across various technology components, ensuring that services meet performance targets and service levels. Additionally, the position involves managing cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring security and compliance, and collaborating with other teams to resolve issues related to applications and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Requirements
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or a related field.

? 5 or more years of experience in observability, operations, or DevOps domains.

? High School diploma/GED with 7 or more years of experience in observability, operations, or DevOps domains (equivalent qualification).

Nice-to-haves
? Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or a related field.

? 3+ years of experience in observability, operations, or DevOps domains.
