Manage and maintain all SQL databases for NBC Sports Next at NBCUniversal Media.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Design and implement database solutions to support business needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and consistency.
Develop and maintain data backup and recovery procedures.
Create and maintain documentation for database processes and procedures.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in database management.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior DBAs on the team.
Work with stakeholders to define data needs and requirements.
Develop and implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
Optimize database performance through index tuning and query optimization.
Participate in on-call rotation to support 24/7 availability of critical systems.
Identify and propose new tools and technologies to improve database management processes.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth integration of databases with other systems.
Identify and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
Conduct performance testing and tuning to ensure optimal database performance.
Train end-users on database best practices and tools.
Contribute to the development of data governance policies and procedures.
Continuously monitor and report on database usage and capacity.
Maintain a high level of data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility at all times.
