Sr. React Developer

This is a contract opportunity. You will be employed by Magnit to work on assignment with GuideWell and subsidiary companies including Florida Blue. JOB SUMMARY: Sr. React Developers are responsible for the development, programming, and coding of Information Technology solutions using ReactJS, Redux, D3 and NodeJS to enable Florida Blue Customer Experience applications. Senior IT Developers are responsible for documenting detailed system specifications, participation in unit testing and maintenance of planned and unplanned internally developed applications, evaluation and performance testing of purchased products. Senior IT Developers are responsible for including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and data processed or output by the application. Senior IT Developers lead efforts, oversee work results, provide training and serve as a technical resource for other Developers. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: • Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures • Proficiency using MERN and MEAN Scaffolding tools • Demonstrated organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills • Flexible team player • 3-5 years professional full-stack development experience in enterprise applications • Strong proficiency in React (hooks, functional components, state management with Redux/Redux Toolkit) • Node.js/Express.js backend development with RESTful API design and implementation • JavaScript/ES6+ expertise with modern development patterns and best practices • Experience with Material-UI (MUI) component library and responsive design • Proficiency in Redux state management (actions, reducers, middleware, thunks) • Git version control and collaborative development workflows • Knowledge of JWT authentication and security best practices • Unit testing experience with Jest, Vitest, or React Testing Library • Familiarity with modern build tools (Vite, Webpack) and CI/CD pipelines • Experience refactoring legacy code and managing technical debt • Ability to work with large codebases and understand complex business logic • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with browser DevTools • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based development • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively • Exposure to AI Technologies and be able to utilize and apply PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: The preferred qualifications listed below reflect desired knowledge, skill, and/or experience. Additional Preferred Qualifications: • Various Domain experience; Health Care, Financial, etc • Experience using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodology • Experience with mobile design (native and mobile web) a plus • Experience with Foundation a plus • Experience with web accessibility guidelines and requirements a plus Required Work Experience: • 5+ years related work experience, Professional experience with technical design and coding in the IT industry • Strong proficiency in React (hooks, functional components, state management with Redux/Redux Toolkit) • JavaScript/ES6+ expertise with modern development patterns and best practices • Experience refactoring legacy code and managing technical debt • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with browser DevTools • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively Required Education: • Related Bachelor’s degree or related work experience GuideWell and its family of companies has partnered with Magnit as its Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Employer of Record (EOR) since 2018.
