Sr. Engineering Manager - Transportation

Farnsworth Group is seeking a technically focused Sr. Engineering Manager in the posting locations below. In this role, you will provide engineering, staff support, and QC/QA services for transportation roadway and street projects. Services are for local, statewide, and nationwide clients in the support of multiple planning and design projects.

Posting Locations for this role: Belleville, Champaign, Effingham, Lisle, Normal, Peoria, Pontiac, Springfield, Tinley Park, IL; Nashville, TN; St. Louis, MO; or Remote

What You’ll Do:

Engineer, support, and provide QC/QA for projects related to transportation planning and design

Develop and mentor staff

Collaborate with other disciplines

Develop and maintain Client Relations

Establish and maintain budgets and schedules

Work in partnership with leadership and other team members throughout the Transportation Group and Company

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Civil Engineering program

15+ years of transportation experience with diverse project experience

Licensed Illinois Professional Engineer (PE)

Experience working on and with IDOT, County, and Local Agency projects

Proven leadership skills with engineering staff

Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment

Ability to effectively manage clients and deliver successful projects

Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously

Working experience with Microsoft Office and knowledge of MicroStation, CONNECT, and ORD.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $165,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
