EVRAZ North America is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to join our Pueblo Engineering team in the role of Senior Engineer ? Electrical. In this position, the candidate will be responsible for evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of electrical engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. The ideal candidate will have 3 years experience in heavy industry including medium and high voltage background and a proven ability to manage large projects (<$3M).
Job Responsibilities
? Develop needed capital expenditure projects to support the success of the plant and manage the project and budget from concept to commissioning
? Develop cost and schedule estimates
? Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes and customer requirements
? Provide technical support for procurement specifications, quality control, non-conformance, design and test applications
? Prepare all project documentation, issue contracts, follow fabrication of equipment, install equipment into facilities
? Ensure completion of all projects on time by complying with project schedules based on project priorities and target dates
? Use remote I/O systems, Industrial Communication Systems and Protocols to support the plant
? Provide technical support and troubleshooting services to Maintenance and Operations departments
Experience & Skills
? Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field
? 3 years? of heavy industry experience or equivalent
? Deep understanding of calculating Connected Electrical Load vs Expected Electrical Demand as it relates to sizing Transformers
? Deep understanding of Remote I/O systems, Industrial Communication Systems and Protocols
? Multiple years of experience reviewing various OEM Utility drawings to find the optimal balance between low cost installed while maintaining operability and maintainability
? Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of designs and change as necessary
Compensation
? $115,000 ? $123,000
