Sr. Analyst Inventory Planning
Profile Updated: 3/26/2026 Position Details: Title: Sr. Analyst – Inventory Planning Department: Business Planning Reports to: Inventory Planning Manager Location: Dearborn Job Classification: Remote FLSA Status: Exempt Job Band: Professional Job Summary The Sr. Inventory Planning Analyst will serve as the strategic architect of the SKU-level supply and demand alignment through SIOP & S&OE Processes. This role will bridge the gap between Merchandising, Planning, Sales, and Supply Planning to protect both service levels and profitability. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who uses deep analytical insights to navigate inventory risks, optimizes fill rates, and champions mutually beneficial outcomes for our customers. In addition, this Senior level role will support department roll-ups in addition to managing cross functional projects. This role will also have the responsibility to coach and inspire other planners on the team helping to drive overall team growth and development. Associate Responsibilities Ability to support department roll ups and manage team/cross functional projects Establish cross-functional relationships to promote best practices, while fostering collaboration and teamwork. Coach, inspire, guide, and develop other planners on the team Partner with Supply Planning to identify and manage the products with risk / surplus Lead weekly S&OE discussions on seasonal risk and surplus while developing actions plans and timelines holding cross functional teams accountable. Oversight of monthly PO issuance in partnership with Supply Planning to ensure receipt flows support demand signals with risks minimized. Track the end of season liability position to ensure that all efforts are made to reduce receipt flows to limit liability positions through proactive efforts across time. Development of clear and concise S&OE communication as issues arise to cross functional partners in Merchandising, Merchandise and D2C Planning, Sales Operations etc Ability to pivot and monitor KPIs from pre-season to in-season once the account order booking window opens to understand how order visibility is deviating from demand signals. Evolve strategies to close gaps and elevate risks through clear communication as appropriate. Required Education Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience Required Skills & Experience Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a planning and/or inventory management field High level of analytical thinking with strong aptitude with retail math, forecasting methodology and inventory management Strategic vision to enhance and develop more efficient and effective best practice processes Engaging approach to leading and inspiring others Excellent written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to communicate with all levels including management and business unit partners Outstanding organizational skills with a natural curiosity and interest in problem solving Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and delegate workload, juggling multiple concurrent projects and deliverables Advanced computer skills (MS Office and Planning tools) are needed Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Typical office environment; cubicle/office setting. Extended periods of time sitting, standing, typing on a computer is required. Travel required, may be up to 10% of time This position has a Remote location: Associate will have no regular requirement to be on-site. Travel on-site is limited to special events.
