About Our Patients
Evaluation, therapy & supervision caseloads predominantly consist of children with developmental disabilities and Autism of varying degrees. Patients include those with:
ā¢ Mild to severe challenges
ā¢ Verbal and nonverbal abilities
ā¢ Significant executive function disorders
ā¢ Infant & pediatric dysphagia, oral sensory-motor & feeding impairments
ā¢ Auditory processing disorders
ā¢ Voice & fluency impairments
ā¢ Cleft lip & palate
ā¢ Hearing impairments
ā¢ Language disorders
ā¢ Articulation & phonological processing impairments
ā¢ AAC devices
ā¢ Impaired ADLs & IADLs
ā¢ Ages ranging from newborn to 21 years old
About You
Candidates considered for this position:
ā¢ Have the ability to provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to develop appropriate patient POC
ā¢ Conduct fun & effective treatment sessions
ā¢ Train and support SLPAs on effective treatment methodologies
ā¢ Create safe & positive environments conducive to learning & appropriate to the maturity & interest of patients
ā¢ Consistently present as reliable
ā¢ Maintain punctual schedules
ā¢ Demonstrate a strong understanding of the patient's plan of care in order to conduct treatment consistent with patient goals & objectives
ā¢ Collect & document accurate data
ā¢ Are collaborative with peers
ā¢ Establish professional relationships with patients & their family
ā¢ Will supervise SLPAs
ā¢ Are communicative with supervising SLP
ā¢ Have experience providing co-treatment sessions with other disciplines
ā¢ Demonstrate the ability to maintain a consistent evaluation, supervision &/or therapy caseload
ā¢ Have experience providing telehealth services
Must Haves
ā¢ Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license or equivalent within the State of California
ā¢ 3+ years of pediatric ST experience
ā¢ A reliable computer source to provide telehealth services
ā¢ Strong internet connection capable of supporting video conferencing
ā¢ Proficient computer skills
