Specialist - United for Business Events (Hybrid)
About the position
The Event Specialist for United for Business Events is responsible for managing and executing a variety of corporate events, meetings, and conferences. This role involves end-to-end event management, including budgeting, vendor coordination, and onsite logistics, ensuring that events are efficient, cost-effective, and memorable. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and reporting to the United for Business Events Manager.
Responsibilities
Ā Own end to end event execution for regional customer & sponsorship events.

Ā Liaise with vendors, partners, and stakeholders to ensure efficient collaboration for events.

Ā Partner with hotels for RFPs, contracting obligations, and post-event budget review.
,
Ā Create and manage event run of show, onsite logistics, site build up and tear down.
,
Ā Analyze post-event survey results to highlight future learnings.
,
Ā Lead event registration systems to successfully build, launch, and complete event registration for all programs.
,
Ā Collaborate with the Marketing team to create and handle communication plans for events.
,
Ā Lead internal meeting coordination and planning for regional divisions.
,
Ā Manage divisional budgets ensuring all planned items are accounted for and accurately forecasted each month.
Requirements
Ā Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Business, Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Advertising

Ā 2+ years of related event experience
,
Ā Experience with event/technology systems (STOVA, TicketManager, Salesforce, HIVE, etc.)
,
Ā Project management skills
,
Ā Excellent organizational, communication, negotiating, and multitasking skills
,
Ā Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a customer-service approach
,
Ā Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
,
Ā Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
