Specialist, Quality Assurance
About the Team
The VIZIO QA team is located in Dakota Dunes and handles both configuration and cloud release for both feature and maintenence releases around the smartcast platform. We intake work from multiple development teams and test the software to ensure quality and integration with all other software components. QA also works with the firmware and OS platform testing including Feature and quality improvment releases.
What You Will Do
Ā This position will consist of software testing, from UX to core logic, feature inclusion.
Ā You will be communicating with developers and product management on issues.
Ā You will learn to read software logs, and shell scripting along with analytics testing.
Ā Documentation is a key aspect of the position as higher quality written issues are paramount to developers understanding and resolving issues in a timely manner.
About You
Ā You have a completed GED/HS diploma
Ā You are able to effectively document and troubleshoot errors.
Ā You have a keen eye for detail and patience to track down difficult issues.
Ā You possess an analytical mind, critical-thinking skills, and problem-solving aptitude.
Ā You have strong organizational skills and can meticulously follow detailed steps.
Ā You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ā You are able to work collaboratively across different divisions.
Ā You are able to drive issues and deliver quality results with a great deal of autonomy.
Ā You ideally have previous experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role.
Ā You have working knowledge of test management software, such as TestRail or Jira.
Ā You have experience in project management and QA methodology.
