They are seeking a Software Engineering Intern to build user-facing features and internal tools on their full-stack platform, while collaborating with experienced engineers and designers. Responsibilities Build and ship user-facing features and internal tools across our full-stack platform Collaborate with designers and engineers to deliver polished UI and performant interactions Contribute to our 3D map and QA tools using technologies like React, ThreeJS, and WebGL Work with real-world data from LiDAR scans, satellite imagery, and infrastructure projects Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and product reviews with the full team Skills Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field (Graduating 2026–2027) Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices Familiarity with modern web development tools (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js) Curiosity about 3D graphics, geospatial tools, infrastructure, or AI-assisted design A desire to learn quickly, contribute meaningfully, and solve hard technical problems Experience with 3D rendering libraries like Three.js Interest in WebGL, WebGPU, or graphics performance optimization Familiarity with tools like Figma, GitHub, or Postgres Previous work on design tools, mapping software, or visualization projects Company Overview Mach9 is building the fastest geospatial production platform for engineering and construction firms globally, starting with Digital Surveyor It was founded in 2021, and is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, with a workforce of 11-50 employees.
