Overview:

The Software Engineer will be a member of the Horsham, PA Software Engineering team and will be responsible for developing design-driven machine configuration files and new software features to meet our manufacturing schedule. To accomplish this, you will work closely with other members of the Engineering team, Field Service, Technical Support, and Manufacturing Operations to provide technical assistance in support of our development, manufacturing and customer support efforts. Additionally, you will be responsible for software testing in support of development activities.

Responsibilities:
? Perform translation of electrical and plumbing schematics into configuration files that customize the manufactured product to meet customer process requirements.
? Support the Manufacturing department throughout the machine build and setup process, reconfiguring files as required to address issues and design modifications.
? Develop and improve templates to support the semi-automated process for configuration file development.
? Write and support C#.NET and VB6 software development by coding, testing and troubleshooting complex application software.
? Provide assistance to the Field Service and Global Product groups in support of customer service issues.
? Image, configure, and occasionally troubleshoot Windows PCs used in the product line.
? Additional tasks and projects to support other Veeco product lines or locations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required; or an advanced degree is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
? Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
? Experience programming software applications in C#.NET and/or PLC devices is desired
? Proficient with the Microsoft Windows operating system
? Strong oral and written communication skills

The expected salary range for this position is $96,049 ? $121,662, plus bonus opportunity. When determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
