Lead and grow an engineering team that builds, experiments, operates, and maintains software to meet business and customer needs.

Hire, coach, and mentor team members.

Manage day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Own all operational metrics and support.

Report on development status, quality, operations, and system performance to leadership.

Evolve software engineering practices within the organization, including reporting and development methodology.

Work closely with engineers to architect and develop optimal technical designs.

Drive recruiting and hiring of senior engineers and conduct performance reviews.

Create and execute quality plans, project plans, and test strategies for development activities.

Requirements
3+ years of engineering team management experience.

7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams.
,
3+ years of experience designing or architecting systems for reliability and scaling.
,
Knowledge of engineering practices for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
,
Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
,
Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent.
,
Prior experience working with AWS technologies/services.
