Software Developer
Duties
Responsible for supporting whole lifecycle of software development activities including requirement gathering, analyzing the requirements, designing, developing and testing; support key systems including Data Warehouse, Data Lake and MDM solutions, via analyzing existing code base, data models, data flows and making relevant changes based on new requirements; work with Architects and Data Modelers to understand the business process and functional requirements in order to design and deliver the technical design documents; create, modify and enhance high level technical documentation for designing and developing solutions for projects, including Sales Force Project, IHA Project, and Data Lake Migration; create data models; design Hive and RDBMS tables and generate corresponding scripts for their creation to support Data Lake Migration and Data Integration solutions within the enterprise; develop data integration solutions for the enterprise, as well as data mapping applications, based on tools including Informatica PowerCenter, Cloudera and Informatica Big Data Edition; analyze, design, develop, test and implement software programs, components, modules, applications and business intelligence reports; enhance existing Informatica Big Data applications, PowerCenter workflows and mappings that move data between files, Oracle databases and within the Cloudera data lake environments; analyze the Job log and monitor the execution statistics on the Informatica monitoring console to identify the execution time versus volume of data, identify the bottlenecks and optimize the mapping to improve performance in PowerCenter Environment; utilize and apply knowledge of RDBMS tables, informatica Power Center, AWS, PERL scripts, Big Data Management, SQL server, DB2, Eclipse, Oracle, jiRA and UNIX to perform duties; optimize and improve the performance of the software programs and applications; analyze production data to provide historical and ongoing data fixes as per the requirement and issues raised via service requests from key departments; work on production issues reported by team/users on JIRA Ticket tracking tool; provide support to key decision support systems within the enterprise; support the automation of batch processes by writing shell and PERL scripts; perform Software Quality Assurance tests at different levels including functional testing, unit testing, configuration testing, integration testing, systems testing, regression testing, performance testing and user acceptance testing; analyze and interpret test results, test data and prepare reports; and analyze, troubleshoot and resolve systems software and software applications issues.

$108,000 per year
Education
Masters Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
