Role Summary:

We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Justice Content Creator and Advocate to help us ramp up our advocacy and community-building efforts on a part-time, flexible basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to use your enthusiasm and marketing skills to make a real difference in the world of progressive politics and social justice advocacy.

We offer a remote work environment and flexible hours (20 to 30 hours per week) to accommodate your schedule. We will also consider multiple candidates for 10–15 hours per week.

Who Are We Looking For?

We're seeking a passionate, quick-learning individual with a strong connection to progressive social issues and an awareness of the US political scene.

As a Black female-owned company, we embrace diversity and seek to extend the vision and values of our founder in all we do. Your role will be instrumental in embodying this ethos and pushing forward our agenda for positive change.

--

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation and Advocacy: Research and create impactful social media content on progressive issues and politics, utilizing posts, videos, and interviews to educate and mobilize action. Represent our mission through content aligned with our designs and products to enhance awareness and drive positive change.

• Partnerships and Customer Outreach: Engage with individual customers, nonprofits, and brand-aligned partners to amplify our message and collaborate on initiatives for education and action.

• Influencer and Community Engagement: Support influencer collaborations and maintain active engagement with our community via social media, email, and other channels, promoting our advocacy for social justice.

--

Requirements:

• Demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion, with a keen interest in progressive politics and activism.

• Excellent writing and communication skills.

• Quick learner with a proactive attitude.

• Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing (training will be provided).

• Ability to work remotely with a flexible schedule of 20–30 hours per week, with availability for some communication during normal working hours.

Note: Those highly interested in the role but unable to commit to 20–30 hours per week may still be considered at 10–15 hours per week. Please indicate this in your cover letter.

--

Compensation:

Starting at $20–25/hr, with a clear path for growth. We're committed to fair compensation and will review your contributions after an initial 6-month period, offering the potential for increased pay and hours if business growth allows.

--

How to Apply:

Please upload your resume and a brief cover letter (in PDF format) explaining your interest in the role and Signs of Justice. Start your cover letter with the phrase 'Voices in Solidarity' to demonstrate your attention to detail and alignment with our mission at Signs of Justice.

PRO TIP: While we certainly see the value in generative AI language models (we used one to help create this!), we also highly value originality and authenticity. Therefore, we ask that you write your cover letter personally, without overreliance on generative AI. The unique perspectives and experiences of our candidates are what make our team strong, and AI-generated content tends to blur these important distinctions… it’s also quite obvious when all cover letters start to look the same
