Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school environment near Fredericksburg, VA. This contract position begins August 3, 2026, and runs through May 27, 2027, covering the entire school year (185 days). You'll work 37.5 hours weekly, engaging a diverse range of students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. On-site services are required—remote or hybrid work options are not available. As a valued contributor to student success, you'll deliver direct speech and language therapy, conduct assessments, participate in IEP meetings, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Flexible assignments allow you to work with a variety of age groups, fitting your interests and expertise. Qualifications:
Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required Ability to initiate Virginia Department of Social Services background check immediately TB test required by state guidelines Experience in schools preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Key Responsibilities:
Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for individuals and groups Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents to maximize student outcomes Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to district protocols Benefits:
