For over 25 years we have continued to deliver outstanding reliability and unrivalled service standards.POSITION:The Site Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commission and maintain the company’s products efficiently and profitably on our customer’s site. This is a field based role primarily working in Leeds and the surrounding area. Travelling to sites further afield and overnight stays may be required. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the Installation and Service Manager, the Site Engineer will be response for:Specific:Carry out installation, commissioning, installation/operational qualification testing, temperature mapping and customer training to company procedures within quoted timescales and budgetsCarry out calibration and validation to company proceduresCarry out comparison calibration to ISO procedureCarry out routine service, emergency service and product updates as required under warranty or subsequent maintenance agreementsDiagnosing and fault-finding breakdowns. To liaise closely with the Support Manager and/or Installation & Service Manager reporting progress, gathering data, readings and information as requestedUndertake on-call duties. Be part of the ‘on call’ out of hours rotaUndertake annual calibration, alarm limit testing, temperature sensor validation and active sensor calibration and/or replacementComplete all appropriate site documentation and returning copies to the office in an efficient timely manner. Ensure you use latest issue documentation and softwareFeeding back customer comments (positive or negative), requests, observations and additional functionality requestsProactively maintaining sufficient van stocks of installation materials and specific maintenance sparesControl and safeguard kitted products and equipment issued for installation projectsAct as project manager on specific projectsCarry out site surveys and preparing quotations for extensions to existing systems or new systems. Where appropriate, recommend suitable equipment to meet customers’ requirements and estimate material and labour costsComplete site asset registers as and when required.General:Maintain effective communications with office staffManage own time effectively, complete and submit weekly timesheet, complete monthly expenses to business expense guidelinesResponsible for company vehicle, to keep the vehicle clean and tidy both inside and out. To regularly check all necessary fluid levels and tyre pressures. To notify the Installation and Service Manager when a service is due and of any defectsTake full responsibility for any equipment (including laptop and mobile phone) issued to youAbility to download and print documents from home using own printerPositively contribute to ISO 9001and ISO 17025 continuous improvement ethosAttend any training/development courses that are deemed relevant by Contronics managementAttend any meetings/exhibitions outside of normal hours at the discretion of Contronics managementComply with company Health and Safety rules and procedureComply with customer site Health and Safety rules and proceduresWear appropriate PPE as required by company and/or customer Health and Safety rules and procedures. Report worn or defective PPE to Installation and Service Manager.
