Shopify Designer–Developer Needed for Four Key Pages Within Shopify Theme

Platform: Shopify (Startup theme) Engagement: Fixed-scope project Deliverables: Homepage, Product Page, About Page, Blog Template, Newsletter + Promo Code Integration About the Project: I’m looking for a designer–developer who can design and implement a polished Shopify site without over-engineering it. This is not a ground-up custom Shopify build. This is a theme-first project that uses Figma as a lightweight design lock, then implements cleanly inside the Startup Shopify theme using sections, settings, and reusable components. I've already built out a wireframe for the homepage in Figma that maps to the Startup theme, I have a logo, and I'll handle all copywriting. If you enjoy creating flexible systems founders can actually maintain, this will be a great fit. If you prefer fully custom builds, heavy hard-coding, or one-off designs that require ongoing developer support — this is not the right project. More about the brand... Brand: Playful, fun, slightly 90s-inspired DTC product Vibe: Bold primary colors Clean layout Playful but not cartoonish Modern DTC polish with a nostalgic edge Visual references: Magic Spoon (playfulness, typography, nostalgia) Matheson Food Company (bold colors, confident simplicity) I will provide: Logo Color palette (flexible) Homepage wireframe Copy + rough word counts Brand references Scope of Work Phase 1 — Lightweight Design Lock (Figma) of Homepage and Product Page Lock layout, hierarchy, spacing, and vibe Ensure designs map directly to Shopify sections Avoid abstract or over-designed concepts that don’t translate cleanly This phase should be practical, not precious Phase 2 — Shopify Implementation (Startup Theme) Implement the following inside Shopify: Homepage (based on Figma) Product page About page Blog template Requirements: Use Shopify sections and theme settings wherever possible Minimal custom code Easy for a non-developer founder to edit later Clean, maintainable structure Integrations: Newsletter signup via Substack (or other email platform if recommended) Automated delivery of unique, one-time-use promo codes upon signup TikTok icon/link under homepage hero video Keep in mind, this project prioritizes: Simplicity over cleverness Maintainability over custom complexity Speed and clarity over perfection You should be comfortable designing within Shopify’s realities, not fighting them. Your Ideal Experience: Strong Shopify design and build experience (especially DTC brands) Comfortable designing in Figma with implementation in mind Experience translating Figma → Shopify without losing fidelity Familiar with email integrations and promo code logic Understands conversion-focused layouts To Apply, Please Include: 1–2 Shopify sites you designed AND implemented (Bonus if the founder still edits them themselves) Plus, confirmation that you design with Shopify sections/settings in mind and avoid unnecessary hard-coding Also include your estimated timeline for Figma design and Shopify implementation steps.
