Shopify On-Page SEO Specialist – Good Baklava Company: Good Baklava Location: Remote Type: Contract / Part-Time Good Baklava is an ecommerce brand selling authentic Turkish pistachio baklava online and across New York City. We are looking for a Shopify-focused SEO specialist to optimize our store for search engines and improve organic traffic. This role focuses specifically on technical and on-page SEO within Shopify. Responsibilities Shopify On-Page SEO Optimize title tags and meta descriptions for all pages Write and structure SEO-friendly product descriptions Implement proper H1, H2, and heading structure Improve internal linking across the site Optimize image alt text and file names Keyword Optimization Conduct keyword research for baklava and Turkish dessert searches Map keywords to product pages and collections Optimize content for high-intent search terms like: Turkish baklava pistachio baklava buy baklava online baklava NYC Shopify Technical SEO Optimize URL structure Improve site speed where possible Ensure proper indexing and sitemap structure Implement schema / structured data where applicable Product & Collection SEO Optimize all product pages Optimize collection pages Improve product categorization for search visibility Content Optimization Improve homepage SEO structure Optimize existing pages for search visibility Recommend new landing pages or content opportunities Deliverables The project will include: Full on-page SEO audit Optimization of all major pages Keyword mapping for products and collections Internal linking structure improvements SEO improvements specific to Shopify Requirements Proven experience with Shopify SEO Strong understanding of on-page SEO best practices Experience optimizing ecommerce stores Ability to implement SEO directly inside Shopify Familiarity with tools like: Google Search Console Ahrefs / SEMrush Shopify admin Nice to Have Ecommerce SEO experience Food / restaurant SEO experience Technical Shopify knowledge Structured data / schema experience Goal of This Role Increase organic traffic and rankings for searches related to: Turkish baklava Pistachio baklava Buy baklava online Baklava NYC
