Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced underwriter to help develop our A&H account by bringing existing broker and client relationships to expand our current portfolio. This role is responsible for reviewing complex, high-risk insurance applications and evaluating the level of risk against established guidelines to determine eligibility for coverage. It also contributes to the development of the Underwriting team by sharing knowledge, providing market insights, fostering collaboration, and mentoring team members.
Position Responsibilities
Utilize multiple databases to gather and verify large amounts of supplementary data for submissions and leverage specialized software to compare risks ensuring accurate policy pricing.
Solution oriented to market or carrier challenges.
Offer recommendations to clients on insurance applications to reduce exposure to excessive risk.
Ensures that underwriting activities comply with all industry and governmental regulations.
Cultivate relationships with assigned producers to achieve production goals.
Collaborate closely with the underwriting team to finalize insurance applications efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications
ACII Qualified or progressing towards.
5-7 years of underwriting or related insurance experience required.
Strong customer service experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn industry-specific software
Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments
Strong desire to learn, explore new ideas, and seeking out new knowledge
Ability to be flexible, embrace change, and quickly pivot in response to shifting priorities
Existing relationships with Producing Brokers.

The starting annual pay scale for this position is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on factors such as skills, qualifications, training, and experience. In addition, the company offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) plan with match, paid time off, and other benefits.
ISC's salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
National Pay Range
£70—£80 GBP
