Senior Software Engineer - Production Support

As a Senior Engineer in our production environment team, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and evolution of systems trusted by some of the largest institutions in the U.S. If you’re a proactive problem solver with expertise in Java, frontend technologies, and large-scale data integrations, this is your chance to thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.What You’ll Do:Develop, maintain, and optimize applications and systems in a production environment using Java, Angular, JavaScript, and database technologies.Manage large-scale data integrations, including file-based (e.g., CSV, XML) and API-based (RESTful, SOAP) systems, ensuring seamless data flow.Troubleshoot and resolve production issues swiftly and independently, minimizing downtime and user impact.Proactively identify and address potential issues to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of applications.Implement and maintain data security and integrity across production systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, product managers, and data engineers, to deliver end-to-end solutions.Participate in code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and uphold coding standards and best practices.Mentor junior engineers, leading by example in quality, problem-solving, and communicationWe’re Excited About You Because You Have:5+ years of experience in a senior engineering role, working with Java, database technologies (SQL/NoSQL), and frontend technologies like Angular, JavaScript, and HTML.Strong expertise in data integrations, including file-based formats (e.g., CSV, XML) and API-based systems (RESTful, SOAP).A solid understanding of database design, optimization, and query performance.Hands-on experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and DevOps practices.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly resolve issues independently.Proficiency with version control systems like Git in collaborative environments.A proven track record of thriving in fast-paced, high-pressure settings while managing multiple priorities.We’re Especially Interested in You If You Have:Advanced expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend frameworks like Angular.Experience with microservices architectures and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tooling.Knowledge of Agile methodologies and task management tools like Jira.Experience with performance monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).A proactive attitude and the ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of tasks and delivering results.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience working in a remote team setting.Salary:The annual salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $145,000, depending on experience and qualificationsBenefits:Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, PTO, 401K, Vision InsuranceLocationThis is an entirely remote position for candidates based in the US.No Visa Sponsorship AvailableWe do not offer visa sponsorship at this time.More About Digital Harbor:At Digital Harbor, we are redefining enterprise solutions by integrating innovative technologies like Web 3.0 and our proprietary Social Enterprise Technology (SET) platform.
