In this role you’ll lead complex technical projects, mentor junior team members, improve velocity through better process, shape the engineering roadmap, and help define our engineering culture. You'll be working on scaling and enhancing our web platform, our flagship product. This involves overseeing the libraries we use, managing the component/design system architecture, and building the most robust testable features.You'll be an owner. You'll work with EPD (engineering/product/design) leads team to help shape the roadmap. You’ll also be responsible for writing technical documentation, setting up infrastructure, and organizing engineering tasks.You'll balance the short and long term. While knowing the importance of shipping quickly you also know how to craft thoughtful long-term technical strategy. You know when to address tech debt and when to improve infrastructure and processes (testing, code reviews, CI/CD).You’ll make the engineering team more effective. You’ll help us implement better processes, refine our interview process, and help define our engineering culture.You'll help build the team. The first 10 members of an engineering team dictate the next 100. You'll help interview and recruit more talented engineers.You'll learn about startups. Aside from your core work, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in other areas - marketing, growth, ops, etc.Who you areYou're experienced. You have 4+ years experience working on complex web applications built with modern tools and a proven track record as a lead developer. Familiarity with our tech stack is a bonus!You're passionate about crafting software.
