In this role, you’ll work across the entire stack building, testing, and shipping features. You'll collaborate closely with company leadership, playing a key role in solving high-impact technical challenges and shaping the future of our platform.About The RoleJoining our Engineering team at this stage means your work will have a huge influence on future developers, the codebase, and company culture. This role is based out of our downtown Austin office—full time at first and then hybrid after onboarding.To drive our mission forward, this role will:Lead development across the stack — Architect, build, and ship high-quality code across our entire platform, setting the standard for technical excellenceDesign scalable, elegant solutions — Collaborate with Product to solve complex problems with simple, customer-centric featuresOwn issue resolution — Triage, prioritize, and resolve system level issues while guiding others on best practices for quality and reliabilityChampion continuous improvement — Proactively identify opportunities to improve system performance, code health, and team efficiencyAdvocate for the user — Build with empathy and a deep understanding of customer needs, ensuring every solution adds meaningful valueMentor and elevate others — Share expertise, coach teammates, and help shape a culture of learning, growth, and technical rigorAbout YouA collaborative and innovative thinker who has experience shipping code in a fast-paced, agile environment will make a huge impact at SafeLease!Your experience:5+ years in a full-stack software development role with a track record of owning and delivering complex features or systemsDegree in CS/EEDeep proficiency with Frontend (TypeScript, JavaScript, React), Backend (Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs), and Infrastructure (Relational databases, Git, AWS) systems and languagesAbility to learn and adapt to best-in-class tools including but not limited to Linear, Cursor, and other rapidly advancing AI toolsStrong collaboration and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead discussions, drive alignment, and mentor peersDevOps-related experience is a plus—skills that go beyond just writing code and own how that code runs in productionDesire to work in-person or hybrid from our beautiful downtown Austin officeWhy SafeLease?The tech: Our prospects convert fast because we’re solving real problems and delivering serious value to commercial real estate owners.The team: We’re a team of seasoned pros and sharp operators who know how to move fast and build smart.
