The Enterprise Applications Engineering team builds and supports the internal platforms and tools that help Zillow employees work more efficiently. This team partners across Product, People, Technology, and Engineering to deliver scalable, secure solutions that improve day-to-day productivity across the company.
About the role
Join Zillow as a Senior ServiceNow Developer and help shape the internal systems that power how work gets done. In this role, you’ll design and deliver scalable ServiceNow solutions, partner with cross-functional stakeholders to solve business problems, and influence engineering standards that improve employee productivity, platform reliability, and long-term maintainability across Zillow.

You Will Get To
Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable ServiceNow solutions that improve employee productivity and support Zillow’s internal business operations.

Serve as a senior technical expert for the ServiceNow platform by setting engineering standards, reviewing code, and mentoring teammates.

Design and support integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST and SOAP APIs.

Partner with product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and guide tradeoff decisions.

Improve engineering practices through automation, testing, DevOps principles, and CI/CD approaches within the ServiceNow ecosystem.

Monitor platform performance and use analytics and reporting to identify trends, improve efficiency, and support system reliability.

Contribute to Agile planning, estimation, and delivery to help the team ship high-quality features on time.

Drive operational excellence by identifying root causes, reducing technical debt, and recommending scalable improvements across the platform.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $160,900.00 - $257,100.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.

In Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont the standard base pay range for this role is $152,900.00 - $244,300.00 annually. The base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. Employees in this role will not be paid below the salary threshold for exempt employees in the state where they reside.
Who you are
You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent practical experience, along with significant hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer in a senior or lead individual contributor capacity.

You bring strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, administration, and core capabilities, with experience across modules such as ITSM, HRSD, Integration Hub, and Virtual or AI Agents.

You have deep technical expertise in JavaScript, Glide API, Script Includes, Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, ACLs, and Flow Designer.

You have experience building scoped applications, automating testing with ATF, and designing complex integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.

You understand ITIL processes and have experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.

You use data and platform insights, including Performance Analytics and Reporting, to improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency.

You are a strong communicator and problem solver who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, mentor others, and build effective partnerships across teams.
