Senior RFP / Grant Writer – Education, SEL & AI Innovation
Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior RFP / Grant Writer specializing in Education, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovation. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and submission of compelling grant proposals and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) that advance innovative educational initiatives.
Remote | Contract | High Commission Potential
RISE (Resilience Inspire Self-Empower) is seeking experienced, entrepreneurial-minded RFP and Grant Writers to help secure school district, state, nonprofit, workforce, and federal opportunities tied to Social Emotional Learning (SEL), behavioral health, workforce readiness, and AI-powered educational support.
This is not a traditional “proposal writer” role.
We are building something much larger:
A mission-driven education and AI initiative designed to support students, educators, and families through scalable SEL systems and our AI platform, Compass — a school-safe AI assistant focused on resilience, emotional growth, self-management, and life readiness.
We are looking for professionals who understand how to strategically position organizations within:
• School district RFPs
• State procurement opportunities
• Federal grants
• Workforce and behavioral health initiatives
• Youth development and equity-focused funding streams
What You’ll Do
• Identify and evaluate RFP/grant opportunities aligned with RISE
• Assist in writing, organizing, and strengthening proposals
• Help strategically position RISE/Compass for contracts and partnerships
• Collaborate on narratives, scope alignment, and proposal strategy
• Support state, district, nonprofit, and federal submissions
• Help shape long-term growth opportunities and funding pipelines
Ideal Background
We’re especially interested in candidates with experience in:
• Education or EdTech proposals
• Federal grant writing
• Behavioral health / workforce / youth-development funding
• School district procurement
• Government contracting
• Nonprofit funding strategy
• AI, SEL, or educational innovation
Strong understanding of compliance, proposal structure, scoring criteria, and strategic positioning is highly valued.
